BIPOC CULTURAL GARDEN FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

A Teen Fellowship Centered on Traditional Foods, Identity, and STEM

This program is an 8-month fellowship designed for 9th-grade students. Discover how traditional planting and ancestral practices empower youth and promote 21st-century life skills, self-discovery, and environmental stewardship in this fellowship for teens.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) are integrated with art and culture through a series of modules led by community partners. Students become research scientists and develop leadership skills as they apply Washington Core Standards and explore pathways for future STEM careers.
