FOOD SYSTEMS
Our farm-to-table approach addresses the disparities in food accessibility, particularly for underserved communities. We provide culturally relevant food to our communities based on their needs and the traditional foods that are familiar to them.

Our food system benefits both the communities we serve and the environment.
Food Production
Seed2Fork Farm took a step back to examine the importance of food and community. We asked ourselves a crucial question: Are we creating something that satisfies a need or a want for the communities we serve?

While it's wonderful to encourage people to desire our fresh food and produce, the greatest impact comes from providing something that is essential to Black, Brown, Latinx, Indigenous, Native American, immigrant, and low-income communities.

Focusing on meeting real needs, we aim to create food that is relevant and beneficial to the communities we serve throughout Washington State.
Food Distribution
We deliver food that is connected to the community culture.

Our food distribution is called the “Giving Table.” Instead of providing pre-packaged boxes, we offer items that are culturally relevant to each community we serve.

What is Seed2Fork Food Systems?
Based on the population we serve, we know firsthand that poor diets lead to health problems, and the disparities in food accessibility within these communities are stark. While the origins of this inequality are centuries old, corporate mergers and financial power have further disrupted the food system. Industrial agriculture has pushed out small farms, which were once integral to the nation’s food supply and are far more environmentally and socioeconomically sustainable.

Instead of providing pre-packaged boxes, we offer the “Giving Table” in Skagit, Snohomish, King, and Pierce counties, where the community can choose items that are culturally relevant to them and their families.
