About the event
Did you know that some plants grow better together? Improve the health and productivity of your garden by choosing plants that work together as companions, rather than compete for resources. This class provides an introduction to the many ways that you can combine plants to maximize your harvest and make the most of your space. In this class we discuss examples of companion planting, inter-planting and polyculture.
Learn about:
companion planting and different types of plant relationships
incorporating perennial plants into your annual food garden
the permaculture concept of “plant guilds”
This class will feature an interactive lecture with slide show, a garden tour, and time for questions and answers with the instructor. A detailed outline with recommended resources will also be provided. The session is limited to about 15 participants and we will be following current public health guidelines.
